My surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, December 17th at 11:00 am. I am the second surgery scheduled for my doctor that day so it is possible that my surgery could get a little delayed. I will be having a bi-lateral mastectomy (removal of both breasts) and removal of some or all of the lymph nodes under my left arm. When that is completed the plastic surgeon will come in an begin the reconstruction process. He will be inserting expanders under my breast tissue. These expanders will be filled with saline solution during the next several months.
I was originally very nervous about the surgery (now I'm just a little - smile). I've had complications before when being put under and experienced some difficulties afterward from the medications they use. Please pray for no complications during or after the surgery.

Hi Old Friend,
As I think of you going through this unneccesary chapter in your life I don't see you as a 42 year old woman with a career and family to worry over. I see you as a beautiful teenager talking about boys, school and family.
My how time flies.
I truely believe God is with you on this one and will continue to be as you go through the process of recovery.
Thanks for keeping us up to date and I'll call your mom to make sure she is okay.
xoxo
