It's a Wonderful Life

We wanted to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas.

Yesterday was a very relaxing and enjoyable day (this means the kids would tell you they were bored.) Jim and the kids went out for some last minute shopping. Neither of them had bought for each other so Jim took them out separately. Normally we all go out together to one store and pick out a little something for each person. The fun thing is trying to find what you want and get it paid for without another family member seeing you. Until I get my draining tubes removed I am not venturing out in public. We will reinstate our shopping tradition next year and I will get to join them.

The day went quickly by as I visited with treasured friends as we sat by the fire. Nothing has Christmas written all over it like that.

Jim moved one of our recliner chairs into the living room so the afternoon was spent resting and watching Christmas movies.

We had a wonderful dinner brought over from our friends Stephanie and Sarah. We got a honey baked ham and all the fixings. Yummy!! And then I did something I have never done. I watched It's a Wonderful Life from start to finish. It makes so much sense now. The kids were so funny. They were grumbling about watching a black and white movie. The worst part was that it was 3 hours long. I'll have to ask my sister Ashley if watching the movie is in the same category with sky diving and rocky mountain climbing. We'll see how many people get this.

I thank you all so much for your prayers. I am resting better and finally had my appetite return yesterday. I don't remember being nauseated once. Yeah!!

I hope each of you treasure your time together. Whatever you do don't take Christ out of your Christmas. Grab your Bible and start reading Luke. Each time I do I find something I have never seen before. The Christmas story is not fiction. When you open your heart to Christ you will never be the same.

Hug someone a little tighter today.

Love to all!!
Traci, Jim, Matt and Katie

Hi Traci,
When I heard of your news a few weeks ago we had just received news we had a very close friend in the hospital with a brain tumor and the prognosis was not good for him. My prayers for the both of you filled my soul everyday. Last week your blog was sent to me so I could keep up because I kept asking "How is Traci?" I am glad to see and hear you are doing as well as you can be doing and I am happy to see what a beautiful family you have to support you. For whatever reason we lost touch, that doesn't matter to me, just know that you are in my prayers and thoughts. Only hoping for the best for your full recovery.

Hi Traci,
It has been so long since we have seen you and when I heard the news I just had this peace in my heart knowing the Lord has, is and will always be with you. Please know that you ,Matt, kati, and Jim are in our prayers and we love and miss you. Praise God you went through the surgery well. It was so cool to hear that Cheryl Beal was there with you also. That is so funny how God does that. Keep up the fight and remember we are praying for you. God bless all of you.

Traci and family,
Just to let you know that you are in our prayers and I know that the Lord has you in His arms and will see you through this. It is wonderful that you have trusted Him so completely and He will bless you because of it. The awesome part of this too is the way you have allowed the Lord to use this to glorify Him and share the Love He has for everyone! What a blessing you are to all who know you. Please know we are here for you. I'd love to make a meal or clean the house for you!
