It has been a very quiet weekend. It's not just because Matt and Katie have been away, but because I've been battling another fever. I woke up Saturday feeling strange and then slowly experienced my fever climbing and climbing. By the evening it was at 102.1. It just wiped me out. I did some research on having a fever during chemo. I'm guessing that my white blood count has dropped. One of the symptoms is a fever. I've had no others symptoms so I'm just guessing. I go to the doctors on Monday so we'll see if I've guessed right. My incision still looks good so I don't think it has gotten infected.
I had been looking forward to having a nice weekend and getting some quality time with Jim. I just have to learn not to have any expectations or even make plans for the next two months. This chemo is doing a good job of taking me down. Every day seems like a battle.
Jim and I were talking about the different journeys we have taken. I was sharing that I can look back at pictures and remember the good and the bad. I hadn't looked at our website while we were in New Zealand for a long time. At least as I remember all we went through I do have a lot to smile about. You can still see some pictures of our time there at www.islandconnection.info. It's amazing how much the kids have grown up (we were there from Sept 05 through August 06).
I shared with Jim I have no desire to have any pictures taken during this journey with cancer - the blog serves it's purpose. I'll have physically scars that will remain with me for the remainder of my life - that is memory enough.
It's only been 11 days since my treatment and I'm already having cabin fever. I haven't had a good day yet. Very frustrating! I'm just praying my count will be up and I can get some good days before my next treatment - only ten days remain - time is flying by, but not because we're having fun. (Smile).
I hope you had a better weekend.

I AM STILL PRAYING FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. I SEEN KATIE AT HER BAND RECITAL A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. MARK (my son) AND HER ARE IN THE CORONA CITY BAND. OR IS IT CORONA / NORCO?
FEVER? I DONT KNOW IF YOUR ON TAXATER FOR TREATMENT BUT THATS WHAT I WAS ON AND I WOULD WAKE UP SOAKING WET DUE TO FEVER. JUST WHEN WE FEEL BETTER THEY HIT US AGAIN. LIKE YOU SAID, ITA A JOURNEY, NOT ONE WE WOULD WISH ON ANYONE. I WILL PICK UP MY PRAYER PACE FOR YOU. HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON.
