Hello everyone!
It's Saturday, about 6:20 pm and I've just returned home four hours ago. I was supposed to be released to go home by 8:00 am this morning, but I was having major issues with my stomach and felt so nauseated that we had to wait. I know Jim was very concerned that I would have to stay another day and he was just too exhausted to handle one more day in the hospital. By 11:00 am I was feeling much better, so I made it my goal to be out of there within the hour. I accomplished my goal. We both know there is no place like home.
I'm not up to giving you the complete update yet. My pain is so bad right now that it is really hard to concentrate. I'm hoping by tomorrow I will feel much better.
Driving to UCLA is no fun, BUT I believe I was in one of the finest hospitals I could be. I've decided to get a UCLA sweatshirt, not because of any sports team, but in honor of the men and women who treated me. It was absolutely amazing. The pre-op nurses having nothing though on my Corona Regional Angels (I can't express how much I missed them).
The surgery was by far the hardest surgery I have ever had. I've never woken up to so much pain in my life. I had a fantastic nurse on Wednesday night that only focused on getting me pain relief. UCLA floor nurses were the best I've ever experienced.
Right now I'm trying to control the pain, and get some much needed rest. I also need to clarify a few things with Jim and his parents before I blog. There are some things I don't remember very well.
I thank you for your prayers. Continue to pray for healing, being pain free, and strength.
Hopefully, I'll be able to blog tomorrow.
I wish I could hug each and everyone of you. Of course I would have to say..."Ouch! Watch the left side." Sending hugs and kisses through the blog. XOXO
