This post has nothing to do with me or my illness. There are so many others who are hurting terribly right now that need relief in Haiti.
When you see the images it makes your stomach sick. I have to be honest and tell you I can't watch. I'm even more embarrassed to tell you I wasn't even sure where Haiti was located. Somehow I skipped Geography in school. I had to Google the location.
We always ask ourselves, "What can we do to help?" Sometimes prayer doesn't seem enough. We want to do something tangible.
I thought I would put a link here to Samaritan's Purse. You can check out Franklin Graham's message yourself. I know the work Samaritan's Purse does. I trust that if anyone wanted to donate money it would be used wisely. They are already in Haiti and responding to the needs with fresh water, shelters, and medical supplies.
We think our small donations can't do very much, but if each of us gave a small amount think about how much could add up? Of course, if you can't give now, maybe it's just the opportunity to find a really good organization that is doing incredible work all around the world, so when you can give you will know a place that will use your money for the good of others.
