Hi, this is Katie and I'm typing for my mom.
The surgery went well. The surgery didn't start until 9:30. It was an hour and a half and I was in recovery for another hour and a half. I had to stay in the outpatient recovery for two more hours because they were trying to manage my pain. We got home a little before 3:00 pm.
The pain on my right side is the worst I have experienced. I wish I had a pain pump like I did when I had the mastectomy. I have limited access using on my right arm and just a little more on my left. We know the first 48 hours are the hardest so I'm just taking it hour by hour.
Thank you for your prayers. Hopefully, tomorrow I will be able to blog to give you all the details.

A Wonderful Gift
As soon as I realized I was going to have surgery I knew I wanted to have family pictures taken. This was the best gift I could've been given. We had so much fun. If I ever doubt what I am fighting for it is for more days like this one. I encourage you to go and check out the following link to see a slide show.
