POOF!

It's time for some laughter.

The picture on this page seems like centuries ago (I'm know I'm always dramatic)...me with long hair. Yes, we are talking about the hair again. I've had long hair, than cut it shorter to prepare for the loss, than no hair, which brought Velcro hair, and now short hair. I've had several people come up and say they love me with short hair....it's only for two reasons 1) it's nice to see me with hair, and 2) you haven't seen me wake up in the morning. I wasn't made to have short hair. Proof in point - I was born with a head full of hair.

There are only three people (if I'm not included in the count) that have to endure what I look like when I wake up. Trust me - it's not pretty! The thickness and volume of my hair causes something very tragic to happen during the night...I just don't know how to explain it...I wake up with the biggest POOF! of hair. If it's really bad I won't leave the bedroom without a baseball cap on my head. The other day I woke up to a vision I soon hope to forget. It was a baseball cap of a morning. When I walked out to the kitchen Jim was eating his breakfast. I asked him if he had seen my hair, which he answered, "No." I quickly took off my baseball cap and he spit out his bagel. We had a good laugh.

I've been explaining this to the girls at the office because I've been experimenting with the right hair products to try and keep it down so the POOF! doesn't happen during the day. One day required four products. This morning should have been a baseball cap day but I was too lazy. I thought before I started my hair routine I would take a picture so the girls would appreciate all the work I do each and every morning. Let's just say Alyssa is still laughing from the memory. She was laughing so hard this morning that she started to cry and apologized that she kept laughing. Lynn was next, and I think in seeing the picture she realized it was worse than what she good have ever imagined. All day long we would start to laugh about it. I was afraid I was going to get fired because they could hear us laughing so much.

Sorry, but I will not be showing anyone else this picture. 5 individuals are way too many.

So...I think is unanimous that I won't be keeping my hair short. I'm counting down the days until it's heavy and long enough to stay down, and I'll be able to save money by not using as many hair products. Oh, I just realized it actually "5" products on a bad hair day...I was forgetting the hair spray.

I can only imagine what you are going through since I have had my hands in that beautiful full head of raven hair! :) Laughing is good. If we can't laugh at ourselves then really, what is the point! Love you Cousin. oxoxox
