All Wrapped Up

Well, I didn't go a week without a doctor's appointment.

I received a call on Monday that my Oncologist wanted to see me on Tuesday. I had a good hunch that she was going to tell me everything I already knew. Which she explained that there is nothing they can do at this time and I will have another PET scan early November. The only reason she had me come in was because she wanted to do another examination and see if she could feel the lump, which she couldn't.

Like I said, I'm really not going to worry about it.

On Tuesday, I had my preliminary consultation for therapy. She decided she could do a short treatment and wrap me all up. I told you I would post a picture so you can see how much fun it is afterwards. It became evident that I wouldn't be able to work after each treatment As you can see I'm wrapped from my fingers all the way to my arm pit. It's very annoying.

Tomorrow, Labor Day, I start my first therapy of the week at the hospital, and then the remaining sessions will be at Physical Therapy. I will go to work for a few hours each day and then head over for therapy. It's really difficult to do much with my arm all wrapped up, so I guess it's a good excuse not to have to cook, or clean. I really can't type too well either so the blog might be quiet for longer than normal. I will get to take the wrap off each morning before I go to work. It looks strange and I'm not sure how it works but it does.

I see the Rheumatolgosit on Wednesday for a follow-up appointment. I'm guessing this will be my last appointment with him since he never could determine why I still have the pain I do. It is getting much better so maybe my body just needed time to heal.

I'm hoping and praying that after therapy I will be doctor free for a few weeks (maybe even longer than a month). Oh, what will that be like? I can only imagine. It's almost been two years of doctor appointments, tests, surgeries, and treatments.

You know what I'm celebrating today? It's almost been two years!!

I'm glad your pain is getting to be less and less with time. I'm so sorry you have to be all wrapped up and uncomfortable - it doesn't look like any fun AT ALL.
I miss you tons and hope all goes well with therapy.
